These systems incorporate programming developed and designed to defeat and then record tampering by passengers and drivers.
Affordable school bus cameras have been available for several decades as a school bus fleet risk management tool that can verify or disprove claims made about events or activities that happened on the bus.
Over the decades, there have been many cases where students and drivers or driver assistants in buses for wheelchair students have been equipped with
Special Needs Wheelchair School Bus Video Camera Surveillance Systems to provide surveillance and recorded video of transport of those with special needs from place to place.
Students, passengers, and drivers may have varied reasons for tampering with mobile vehicle video camera systems, but they all share similar methods that we have detected over the last 30 years.
Those who purchase and equip
Affordable School Bus Camera Systems in their buses have found recording stop at regular locations and times of the day. In efforts to determine why the recordings seem to stop or fail to record, we often find that the DVR itself provides the information to determine what happened. The missing details are often why it happened, as intent often reveals the motives and is likely suspect for the deception.
Some drivers are older and some have weak bladders. In one case, we had a school bus constantly go off route several times a week, and it was frequently reported in places it should not have been parked for a time.
The district installed Affordable School Bus Camera Systems with GPS to determine what the driver was doing. The driver was recorded going to the back of the bus when stopped in these remote locations with an empty bottle in his hand and, after sitting in the back seat for a few minutes, returning to the front of us with a bottle now filled with a yellow liquid. The driver was clearly relieving himself in the bottle during his split route where he had one early route to pick up children from one school, then after delivering him another oute to pick up other children. There were never any children recorded of being on the bus when he was doing this, but this concerned the supervisors and was something they needed to know so they could address this situation adequately.
Other vehicle video camera applications often reveal their own types of tampering, often based upon their passenger or driver proclivities and desires in a career they may have originally selected due to the total lack of accountability in that career.
This is because certain career choices subject a person to expected levels of oversight, live direct management oversight, and the accompanying accountability for their actions.
For example;
Forklift HD Industrial Operator Safety Camera Systems are often installed when there is a suspected problem or a need to document the activities of the lift operator. Because of this, the lift operators often feel like they are being watched more closely, and they now feel more accountable for their actions, and this, to some, may be viewed as “The man” watching you. Those who might be operating their vehicle less professionally or maybe doing something not permitted, such as goofing off, hiding in areas away from management oversight to eat, talk on the phone, or smoke, will often try the obvious or tampering……cut the power wires. This is a proven way to stop the camera from recording what they may be doing. However, cutting the power wires will be immediately revealed as tampering when the vehicle camera recording system is checked.
Those whose knuckles may still be dragging on the ground may be surprised to learn the DVR not only records that the power was cut to the DVR but also the time this occurred, making a quick check for which was operating the vehicle at the time instantly creates a likely suspect.
When those in a hurry or those with little to no formal training, and possible damage to the tractor and driver as well.
5th Wheel,
King Pin Trailer CS1 Spotter Warehouse Terminal Yard Mule Camera, was developed to provide a Fleet driver Risk Management tool to ensure that your yard jockeys swapping trailers in their yard mule applications did so in the professional manner they were expected to do so.
In the past, we have detected vehicles hiding behind large warehouses and spending hours sitting behind hundreds or more parked trailers, destroying productivity and causing efficiency issues when no trailers are being moved to load or unload them.
The GPS option on the systems can record all the places and movements made by the vehicle. Occasionally, some have unscrewed the GPS antennas to try to stop the location recording aspect of the systems. Again, the DVR data log files record the times the GPS antennas lost the signal or what happened when the DVR lost the GPS antennas simply by viewing the video playback and the loss of the map tile.
Those who enforce the law are often presented the impression that they may be above it. When the few bad apples in the local police force take advantage of the trust placed in them to make rounds and patrol their covered areas and instead find hidden places to take a nap or read or surf the net while on duty can often try to find a way to not let the
Police Patrol Wagon Suspect, Prisoner, and inmate in-custody Transport Camera system that usually comes with GPS lets others know where they were hiding and for how long. We have found instances where questionable video camera recordings were not found on certain days or hours of the night on a regular shift, which had their supervisors questioning where they were and what they were doing.
Some got sloppy by leaving small lead foilbacks or covers of their GPS antennas and forgot to turn them off when turning to patrol. Others had extra inline fuses left in the console that were the same amp rating of the
Prisoner & Inmate in-Custody Paddy Wagon Transport Camera system power lines. They were unaware that the system recorded the power on and off for all power wires and I/O external accessories like the GPS antennas.
The Department of Corrections prisoners in custody transport often smacked the camera heads so hard trying to get them to point in a different direction that they lacerated their hand on the heavy metal shell of the armored turret cameras. Many have left blood and skin on the sharp edges, making it obvious they did the damage to the cameras.
To further ensure the cameras in prison buses were not damaged, we started selling steel security cages for dome cameras that have occasionally broken the fingers of those hitting them, trying to tamper with them. It is bad enough that they broke their fingers, damaging the cameras. Still, they also now have video evidence of their assault on the county equipment, which is an additional criminal charge. Rational thinking is not their superpower for many who are locked in cages or prison cells.
Those who drive vehicles equipped with the
Paratransit Driver Safety Video Camera Surveillance Systems often try to find ways to defeat the systems so they can use those vehicles in ways their companies do not want them used. Some transport their friends and associates, some have used them for shuttle service for cash, and some may drive them far out of their service areas for personal use. To do all of these non-work related activities, they must first defeat the recording capabilities of the
Paratransit Driver Safety Video Camera Surveillance Systems, often by disconnecting the main power fuse, which the DVR will record at the time and date they do so, and this will also show up on the DVR log files for management to see just how many time s they do this and when and where.
Others may target the memory storage by breaking open the SD card locking door to remove the SD card. Again, the DVR will record all power interruptions, including the SD card removal and the time and date of that event. These systems record tampering by passengers and drivers.
In the application of
Elderly Day Care Shuttle & Assisted Living Transportation Vehicle Video Camera equipped vehicles, there are often claims made by passengers that the drivers in some way made comments to them or treated them in a nonprofessional or cruel manner. Many of our elderly passengers may be on multiple prescribed medications to treat some disorders, and those medications may have side effects that may in some way damage their perceptions of what was said or the potential intent of the person saying it.
The driver may get frustrated with passengers who are not cooperative and may, at times, treat them in a way that reflects their annoyance at the passengers. When this occurs, some drivers may try to prevent others from seeing their lapses in better judgment when they may have offended the passengers. In cases like this, we can find drivers breaking the SD locking door open and removing the SD card to prevent all evidence of their potential moral or criminal infractions from being used against them in the future should the passenger complain to their management of the transport company.
This is a common problem we experienced with Tachograph customers back in the early 1990s, when almost all petroleum tanker trucks, USPS, UPS, Army, and many other of the largest heavy-duty trucking vehicle fleets had Manesmann's Fleet Driver Risk Management products, such as tachographs, in them.
