It causes the strongest materials like stone & metal to oxidize, weather and deteriorate,losing it's luster, losing it's strength and losing its value.
Over a long enough period the shape, the structure, components, will eventually return to their natural state of being, just dust. Over time they will no longer be useful, wanted, needed or desired as they will lose the intrinsic value we place on them.
Time also affects the human body in a similar way, it causes our skin elasticity to decline and we start getting lines, it causes our metabolism to slow down so we age,and over enough time our bodies too will breakdown and be returned to dust.
There is something that time cannot affect. It cannot affect the friendship we share with each other, nor in any way diminish the love we freely give to those we have grown to care for. Time cannot damage, weather, deteriorate or destroy feelings we hold in our hears for one another.
For this reason and this reason alone, the woman in this picture, will never age in my eyes, and will forever be the same beautiful vibrant person she is now, because she is my friend, my lover, the mother of my children, my wife and I store that knowledge and those feeling where time itself cannot go......in my heart.
