Loss of a loved one

Loss of a loved one

For a dear friend

Dedicated to my dear friend at her loss of a loved one...

Dear Panda,

Just a sad part of life to face the fact that everyone you know and love will someday be gone as will we.

The silver lining in the inescapable reality of our mortality is the fact that this is something we all face, we all realize and we all expect yet some people still do not live life like it is something special, something fleeting something precious.

Some chooser to live their lives in a cloud of entitlement and ungratefulness, for the many wonderful things life has to offer.

We were all blessed with free will by our Creator, it is how we choose to use our free will that determines what type of life we enjoy or in some cases what sort of Hell we endure due to our own choices.

Some of the poorest, most uneducated and unsophisticated people on the planet are the most full of life, full of joy and satisfied, so happiness is not a result of money, possessions, education, class, place in societies hierarchy or the other shit we tend to pile on our plates.

In fact one of the leading causes for some peoples low opinion of their stature in life is due to their constant comparisons of themselves their families and their friends to what they see on that POS we affectionally refer to as the "boob tube". A better nickname I could not think of as it sucks the life right out of us through our eyes and leaves a large empty hole where our pride, self esteem and values used to be.

The quickest way to defeat our enemies is to treat them to the same diet of video abuse, dysfunction and depravity we subject ourselves and our children to on a daily basis. They can face the misery and despair we are inflicting on ourselves and after seeing them drop their weapons, surrender and kiss the boots of our soldiers in Iraq, at the first sign of combat, I cringe to think of those gutless cowards after just a few episodes of Jerry Springer, or Ozzy Osbournes odyssey of family values.

There is a reason the main use I have for a TV is to play online video games, because TV programs and movies in general not only suck...they suck hard and if I am going to experience that much hard sucking, well then I’d prefer to be with someone I love and respect, not the crack whores and publicity sluts who populate the TV/movie and entertainment industry, and that is just the women, I cannot even talk about the left leaning Metrosexuals without Glenn Becks signature line of duct tape to keep my head from exploding!

Every time I see Baldwin projectile vomit his liberal hate speech I am left wondering how he can talk that long on one breath as i know he cannot go more than one breath without burring his face into the mammoth crevasse of Liberal empowerment that is Michael Moores gargantuan ass cheeks.

Wow that’s a painful picture to paint...sorry.

I was just trying to explain why so many of us feel so unfulfilled, unhappy and dissatisfied with others in our lives. Because we compare everyone we meet and everyone we know to that image we see on that TV screen or in the movies or in magazines every day. The fact that cigarettes come with a large warning on them is something that might be a good idea on TV shows, movies and other entertainment venues.

Imagine a large disclaimed across "Sex in the city" reminding the viewers that;

’The Surgeon General Has Determined....This is make believe, these people lie for a living and refer to it as acting. In reality all of them are emotionally vacant, most are high school dropouts, many have illegitimate children, are using massive amounts of medication to get through the day from divorce hearing to child custody hearing to substance abuse treatment. Nothing about them is real."

I like to think of them the same way you view your hamster in a cage running on the spinning wheel and simply laugh at them then go about your real life.

Your family is real, your friends are real and the way to a happier more satisfied life is to not take for granted the real relationships you have all around you and lust for that phoney glam crap they market to you in the entertainment industry.

In the early 1950 we had no TV, no ESPN, no cable, no Satellite service and we had the highest enrollment rate for children in schools, the lowest rate of divorce, the highest rates of 2 parent nuclear families and in general the highest satisfaction in our relationships and in our daily lives.

You cannot go back in time and undo what the entertainment industry has done to us, but you can stop the crap now and limit your exposure to this garbage.

Maybe then we can all start to value what we have and those loved ones around us while we can share their lives and offer them the joy of being in our lives once more.

Other then the above Panda, I do not know what I can tell you to cheer you up a bit after your loss, but I am sending you some Bamboo sprouts, Pandas are supposed to love them.
